Memorial Day Weekend!

If you want your seine guaranteed for next weekend, please order by Monday20th! Shrimp season is still closed but FL seining is open as well as using a larger fish seine in GA. I'll ship anywhere in the US and have it at your door by Friday as long as you order soon!

1/2" nylon now available

1/2" sq mesh nylon seines are now available up to 50' x 8'. If you would like a longer seine then contact me to place a special order. Price is $3.50 per linear foot due to material cost and extra labor involved. a 50' x 8' is ideal for the FL seiner who is looking for something smaller than a 1" sq that I carry. Also with a 31lb break test, it's a great alternative to the 5/8" monofilament.

FedEx is the new shipping provider

At my new FL location, Fed Ex is not only more convienent but also less expensive as well. I will make this my preferred shipper over UPS but will still retain UPS for a cost/time comparision. If you have UPS as a preference, then please let me know when ordering. The Shipping Policy page will be updated later today to reflect the changes. Thanks!

Free samples!

Are you curious of the mesh size and strength of the seine netting before you commit to buying? Then send me an e-mail with the mesh type (monofilament or nylon) and the # (#139, #208, #9) along with your address and I will drop a sample in the mail free of charge. There is only one square mesh size per # so there is no need to specifiy there.

#139 9' deep nylon price drop!

#139 9' depth multifilament nylon will be reduced from $2.25 per ft to $1.75 per foot until depleted. While not as strong as the other two I carry in stock, it will still work well for cleaning debris from a fish pond or the like. 50' is maximum length allowed in FL public waters. Until the price is changed, I will refund the difference in cost back to your card. Thanks!

Mobile Site Price Adjustment

When creating the mobile site, I was instructed to include shipping in the price. However it appears that shipping is being added a second time upon checkout. Everything has been adjusted and refunds will be applied to those who have paid twice for shipping.

UPS Shipping Charges

Due to the rates of UPS shipping, I will no longer be able to offer the $10 shipping charges starting March 1st. I generally cover the difference in cost on 100% of the $10 shipped orders, but the gap between the $10 rate and the actual shipping cost is getting too great. $15 will be the standard rate for all packages to be dropped off at a UPS location and sent nationwide.

#9 Nylon added to the lineup

#9 nylon is superior in strength with an 85lb test and so far it trumps the strength of anything else I carry in stock. For the time being, I will be offering this in a 1" sq 2" stretch at a 7' & 9' depths, with hopefully a 5' depth coming soon. The price is set at $3.00 per linear foot of seine.

Online Orders

Occasionally an order gets sent through to my end that doesn't seem right. For example, a 50' seine for a SC resident when the limit is 40', So rest assured, that every order gets reviewed for any possible mistakes before the order is filled and sent. If a flag goes up, then I will personally e-mail you and discuss if this was intentional or not and if need be I'll refund the difference in cost for you. This surely prevents any headache down the road for you. Money is nice but honesty is nicer.

Boy Scout or educational leaders!

If you plan on taking your kids/young adults out this summer and would like to use one of my seines, give me a call. I will lend you one for FREE! My grand dad was one who helped build Camp Tolochee and my grandmother was a librarian for the GA DNR and now has a yearly school award named in her honor. Letting one of my nets get put to an educational use is the least I can do in their memory.
